We’re excited to return to the beautiful Circle T–Tuttle Ranch this spring! Please note that rider spots are limited, so we encourage you to reserve early to ensure you don’t miss out on this incredible adventure.
Enjoy an unforgettable getaway with your family as you trail ride through stunning scenery. This year’s activities will also include fun, friendly competitions in fishing, skeet shooting, and bull-whip cracking. Please do not contact the ranch for camping arrangements—all registrations must be made through Best of America by Horseback. (No horses for rent.)

June 5-7th 2026, Little Bighorn Battlefield, Montana
Best of America by Horseback returns to Little Bighorn Battlefield to honor the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Ride across the sacred lands of the Crow Nation and experience history through the voices of Native American guest speakers and historians, sharing perspectives, stories, and cultural significance tied to this historic site.
This ride focuses on reflection, education, and honoring the land and its history.

September 11–13 - Petermann Ranch Ride – Wibaux, Montana
Join Del Shields for a Trail Ride & Cattle Working Adventure in the rugged Montana Badlands at Petermann Ranch.
This family-owned cow-calf operation, established in 1973 by Bob and Kay Petermann, offers a true western experience shaped by cattle work, storytelling, and wide-open country. Located near Wibaux, the area is rich in history—from dinosaur discoveries found right on the ranch to its proximity to Theodore Roosevelt National Park, where Theodore Roosevelt once ranched.
Meals will be provided by the family, featuring homegrown grass-fed beef and locally grown vegetables.
Some horses and lodging will be available for rent.
Note: Sandy terrain—shoes recommended for horses.

September 19-21st - Smithville Lake, Liberty Missouri
Join Del Shields for a scenic fall trail ride at Smithville Lake, just outside of Liberty, Missouri, in the beautiful countryside north of Kansas City. This region offers a completely different riding experience from the wide-open West. Here, you’ll enjoy gently rolling hills, tree-lined trails, and a mix of open meadows and shaded paths winding along the lake. The terrain is inviting and enjoyable, with good footing and a relaxed pace that makes it ideal for both seasoned riders and those looking to simply enjoy the ride and the company.
Smithville is known for its welcoming small-town feel and access to the Little Platte River, with the lake serving as a centerpiece for outdoor recreation. The area provides a peaceful Midwestern setting with plenty of natural beauty, especially as the early hints of fall begin to show.

After an incredible 2025 ride, Best of America by Horseback is thrilled to announce our return to Caney Mountain Horse Camp in Big Flat, Arkansas! Nestled deep in the Ozark Mountains, this destination is a favorite among riders for its breathtaking scenery, welcoming atmosphere, and true backcountry beauty.
Caney Mountain offers miles of trails that wind through oak and pine forests, across rocky ridges, and alongside peaceful creeks that glisten under the autumn sun. Each ride brings new sights — panoramic overlooks, hidden valleys, and the quiet serenity that makes the Ozarks such a special place to explore on horseback.
The camp itself is designed with riders in mind, offering comfortable facilities for both you and your horse. Evenings are spent gathered around the campfire, sharing stories, laughter, and that unmistakable sense of camaraderie that comes with every Best of America by Horseback ride.

We’re heading back to beautiful Black Horse Ranch Resort in Umatilla, Florida for another unforgettable Best of America by Horseback ride. This special weekend is hosted by Danielle Cosgrove as a memorial celebration honoring her mother, JoAnn Cosgrove, founder of Black Horse Ranch. JoAnn’s welcoming spirit—“you’re family here”—remains at the heart of this beloved Florida destination.
Ride directly from the ranch into the Ocala National Forest, with miles of scenic trails right from the property.
