If you want to experience, Arizona landscapes with cactus flowers and early bloom, if you wish to visit historical silver mining, as well as Mattie Earp's grave, and then witness wagon tracks that are carved into stone from past generations, while enjoying first class, chuckwagon meals, all as a byproduct of riding on beautiful trails with Del and Best of America by Horseback television show, then register now to join us at the Martinez Family Ranch, just outside of Superior, AZ this March for an amazing adventure.  You won't want to miss the opportunity to ride on this ranch!

 

April 4th - 6th - Caney Mountain Horse Camp, Big Flat, Arkansas

Join us for an unforgettable trail riding adventure! Ride through the stunning Ozark mountains, where scenic views, lush forests, and peaceful streams create the perfect backdrop for your horseback experience. Meet fellow riders from around the country, explore miles of well-maintained trails, and enjoy evenings by the campfire, sharing stories and connecting with friends new and old. Whether you're a seasoned trail rider or new to the sport, Caney Mountain offers a welcoming, relaxing environment with amenities to keep you and your horse comfortable. Don’t miss out—saddle up and make memories that will last a lifetime! Limited to 60 riders!

April 11th - 13th - Midwest Horse Fair, Madison, WI

The Midwest Horse Fair PRCA Rodeo is presented by Barnes PRCA Rodeo featuring the seven standard events — saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding! Each night of family entertainment will be actioned packed with a thrilling PRCA ProRodeo and kicked off with a NEW International Liberty Horse Association Invitational Freestyle Competition.  Del and the crew will be filming at the fair, and will also be presenting on public trail and horse camping topics in the Nutrena Lecture Rooms. All proceeds from the Fair are returned to the WHC and are used to represent and foster a unified equine industry in Wisconsin, to promote the equine through leadership, education, service, and communication, and to take a proactive role in the future growth and development of the equine industry. May 2-4th -  Circle T Tuttle Ranch, Lindale, Texas 

Space is limited! Call early! Nestled in the heart of Lindale, Circle T Tuttle Ranch offers a unique blend of open pastures, peaceful wooded trails, and serene views that make for a perfect riding experience. Lindale is known for its small-town hospitality, rich history, and Southern charm, making this trip one you won’t want to miss! Enjoy the local amenities and nearby attractions when you’re off the trail, and experience everything that makes East Texas special.

​May 30-June 1, 2025 Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest, near Palmyra, WI

Get ready for an unforgettable riding experience in the stunning Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest, sponsored by the Wisconsin Horse Council! Covering 22,000 acres, this area offers incredible opportunities for trail riding through scenic, rolling hills and lush forests  With over 150 miles of hiking and nature trails, swimming beaches, and picnic areas, there's something for everyone—whether you're on horseback or exploring off the saddle! Enjoy breathtaking views and spend your evenings by the campfire with fellow riders.

- Riders must first register with Best of America by Horseback and then with the park. 

- RV spots are limited, so register soon** to secure your place! 

 All camping reservations and park passes must be purchased online. Del Shields has all the registration info when you call in.

June 13-15 Little Bighorn Battlefield Ride, Montana - THE RIDE IS FULL

You asked for it, and we’re making it happen! Del and Best Of America By Horseback are thrilled to announce our return to Montana for an unforgettable adventure on the land of the Crow Nation. Join us as we ride across the historic Little Bighorn River, tracing the steps of Sitting Bull and other Chiefs as they met General Custer on the battlefield. Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Crow Nation’s land and delve into history with accompanying historians who will share captivating stories and highlight significant sites from the battle etched in our nation’s memory. Don’t miss this incredible journey through history.

September 12-14th, Fort Robinson, Nebraska

Reserve your spot with Del to Discover Fort Robinson, Nebraska, a remarkable destination that blends rugged Western landscapes with a rich history! Located in the scenic Pine Ridge region, Fort Robinson State Park offers miles of well-maintained trails that wind through diverse terrains—towering pine forests, sweeping plains, and dramatic red rock formations. Riders can expect stunning, panoramic views and a variety of trails suited to different skill levels, making each ride as adventurous or leisurely as you'd like. Fort Robinson is steeped in Western heritage, once serving as a historic military outpost where stories of the Old West still linger. Today, it’s a unique opportunity to ride where history comes alive, following trails used by Native Americans, U.S. Cavalry troops, and pioneers.

 

Please note that while booking for stalls and camp spots opens March 15, you’ll want to secure your place in our group now by contacting Del directly. (There are no horses to rent.)

November 7-9th, Bandera, Texas - COMING SOON!

We're Returning to Ride the Texas Hill Country! Best of America by Horseback is thrilled to announce that we’ll be returning to the Texas Hill Country in beautiful Bandera, Texas—proudly known as the "Cowboy Capital of the World"! Our destination is the Hill Country State Natural Area, where riders can experience some of Texas's most breathtaking landscapes. Expect to ride through rolling hills, scenic canyons, and winding creeks that capture the wild spirit of Texas. This natural area offers miles of diverse trails that will take you through rugged terrain and open vistas, perfect for soaking in those legendary Hill Country sunsets.
